Foresight studies

The joint work programme on 'foresight studies' started in March 2007 as a strategic project on priority settings. The objective was to learn about foresight studies from the participating countries of ERA-NET Bioenergy in order to optimise the priority setting for programme managers.

This report documents the joint work programme on foresight studies and how this activity resulted in further insight in the role modelling and foresight studies can play, and how that can lead to priorities in bioenergy research. The report also contains full documentation of two expert workshop held in Vienna in March 2007 and in Angers in December 2007. Also the limits and constraints of modelling were extensively discussed .
