Objective

The energy system programme is interdisciplinary and consists of a graduate school and a scientist programme. The programme is carried on in three consortia: i) The building as an energy system, ii) Industrial energy systems, iii) Local and regional energy systems. The school has its focus on the creation of knowledge that will be beneficial to the development of sustainable and efficient energy systems. The projects for graduate students accepted in 2006 are launch in cooperation with the Swedish Energy Agency; they are i) System studies of the three large pilot plants, ii) Implementation of small-scale technology, iii) Energy efficiency in industry. The graduate school strives to promote the sensitivity of scientists, technologists and laymen to the broader implications on energy issues in research and society.
