Objective

Objective

Swedish Gas Centre (SGC) co-ordinates the technological development within the field of gas technology, since the launch in 1990. The services of SGC are mainly commissioned by corporations with an interest for energy gases and gaseous fuel applications. The task of SGC is to promote a widespread and efficient usage of gas, with the least possible environmental impact. Here, renewable gases, such as biogas and gas from gasified biomass and waste play an important role. Furthermore, the operation includes the dissemination of information concerning the possibilities of gas utilisation and the creation of opportunities for educational and industrial competence growth. SGC is involved in the administration and operation of a national research programme, which supports these ambitions.
