The second joint call within the framework of ERA-NET Bioenergy was the Joint Call Gasification:: cleaning and treatment of product gas from biomass gasifiers. This call was launched on 1^st June 2007 and was specifically for the topic: treatment and cleaning of product gas from biomass gasifiers. A new condition for submission was the presence of at least one industrial partner in the consortium. Seven countries participated with their national programmes in this coordinated activity: Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The participating countries agreed on the common call text and common procedures concerning e.g. submission of proposals, jury process and evaluation of the proposals. The public report summarizes the results and successful work. 10 Proposals were sent to the international jury for evaluation. In the end 6 proposals were funded and 4 proposals were rejected.

Workshop interim results

On 27^th October 2008 a workshop was held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands to present the proposals, consortia and the interim results after 6-9 months of research. The presentations of this workshop can be found at the section with events.

Workshop end results

The 6 projects ended or will end in summer/fall 2010. On 5th May 2010 a workshop was held during the 18th European Biomass Conference in Lyon. In this workshop the consortia were able to present and discuss their results, as well as future research needs. Some projects were not finished yet at the time of the conference, but were still able to present the final results.
